Adhunik Dosti Herbicide is a selective and systemic herbicide containing Pyrazosulfuron Ethyl 10% WP, specially developed for effective weed management in transplanted rice. It provides broad-spectrum control of important sedges, broadleaf weeds and certain grasses during the early stages of crop growth.
Dosti is absorbed through the roots and foliage of susceptible weeds and works by inhibiting the ALS (Acetolactate Synthase) enzyme, which is essential for the formation of important amino acids in plants. As a result, weed growth stops and the weeds gradually die. This helps reduce unwanted competition for water, nutrients, sunlight and space, allowing the rice crop to grow more freely.
Adhunik Dosti is effective against major rice weeds such as Cyperus difformis, Fimbristylis miliacea, Monochoria vaginalis, Cyperus iria and Ludwigia parviflora. It can be applied at the recommended early stage of weed development and performs best when applied uniformly under suitable field moisture conditions.
